Dr. Counts was born in Roseburg, Oregon. He practiced in British Columbia for six years, and then in Salem before settling in Myrtle Point in 1984. He and his wife have two grown children. He also enjoys fly fishing and gardening. He joined the Coquille Valley Hospital medical staff in 1984.
