Outpatient Services
Outpatient care describes medical care or treatment that does not require an overnight stay in a hospital or medical facility. The types of procedures and treatments offered in ambulatory care are sometimes referred to as “outpatient care.” As the “ambulatory” in “ambulatory care” would seem to suggest, classically the patient can get into a medical facility for treatment under his or her own power.
