Auxiliary Volunteers
Coquille Valley Hospital Auxiliary volunteers play a big role in our success. We have more than more than 40 volunteers who serve our facility in a variety of capacities, from running our gift shop and helping at our cafe to directing patients in our admitting area. Our volunteers are also available to lend a helping hand and a listening ear to patients and families. Auxiliary volunteers also oversee our Books Are Fun and Scrub Sale events held throughout at the hospital. Proceeds from these fundraising events have benefited numerous hospital projects.
Caring and kind, Sandee Murren loves volunteering at the hospital and contributing to her community. As president of our auxiliary, Sandee coordinates, inspires and mentors our hospital volunteers. In addition to overseeing our gift shop, she leads fundraising initiatives. But the most cherished role she plays is being there for patients and families, offering emotional support and encouragement when they need it most.
An active listener who is always working to improve, Beth Heatongrindel is a natural communicator who acts as a conduit, channeling information in a way that benefits patients, staff, volunteers and hospital management. In her role as executive assistant and auxiliary liaison, she works to ensure people’s ideas and feedback are heard and acted upon.
