We offer care for every member of the family, from newborn and adolescents to adults and seniors. We provide the recommended schedule of well-child check-ups, where the baby is seen every few months up until 2 years of age and then yearly after age 2 and offer age-appropriate vaccinations. After 2 years of age, we encourage and recommend an annual check-up. We also provide sports physicals, adolescent and adult physicals. As part of our prevention efforts, we encourage regular, complete physicals to help identify issues at an earlier, treatable stage.
Our primary care providers offer the full range of women’s care, including pap smears, pelvic exams and breast exams. We are available to help with family planning and contraception and the associated procedures, including IUD insertion/removal, Nexplanon insertion/removal and oral contraceptive pills. We provide a full-spectrum physical exam, including a head to toe evaluation, with each annual well-woman check-up. Coquille Valley Hospital also offers mammography and other medical imaging, as part of our full-spectrum care.
We provide a supportive, inclusive and respectful environment for all patients, including lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ) people. Our goal is to communicate openly and gain your trust as your primary care provider in our pursuit to offer you the best possible healthcare. We understand that there are a wide range of sexual and gender identities and expressions, and that these can change over time. Compassionate and open-minded, our providers look forward to partnering in your care.
Geriatrics differs from standard adult medicine because it focuses on the unique needs of the elderly person. The aged body is simply different physiologically than a younger body. Previous health issues and lifestyle choices produce a different set of health-related issues during the golden years. Our focus is on achieving patients’ highest priorities, managing chronic conditions and preserving function and quality of life.
Pre- and Post-Operative Evaluations
Coquille Valley Hospital offers a variety of general and orthopedic surgical services, as well as colonoscopy and upper endoscopy exams. Pre- and post-surgical consultations, evaluations and appointments take place at our primary care and clinic building. Visiting specialists and surgeons are also available to provide dermatology (skin), otolaryngology (ears, nose and throat) and podiatry (foot) services, by appointment.
What is the Patient Portal?
The patient portal is your online gateway to accessing medical information and communicating electronically. This is also a way to securely send and receive messages with providers and staff. View summaries of your visits, lab and imaging results, medications and more, and request and view upcoming appointments, all while keeping your information safe. You will need a code to access the online patient portal for the first time, which you can request at your first appointment.
